Throws five rehab innings again Hudson (elbow) started Triple-A Memphis' win over Louisville on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out two. Impact The recovering right-hander was encouragingly able to log five frames for the second straight rehab start, accomplishing the feat against Triple-A bats on this occasion after making his prior appearance for Double-A Springfield. Hudson worked all the way up to 68 pitches, and although some location issues allowed him to only get 36 into the strike zone, the way his arm continues to respond to a progressively higher workload is certainly encouraging. Hudson may be deemed ready for activation in the next few days, and given the way he's been able to stretch out, he should be be to comfortably handle any long-relief work that might be afforded him.
