Impact The outfielder was carted off the field after suffering the knee injury Saturday. The severity of the sprain is unclear at this time, but according to McCosky, Hill won't return from the injured list for the final few games of the season. The 25-year-old finishes 2021 with a .259/.313/.388 slash line with three homers, 14 RBI, 19 runs and six stolen bases in 49 games.

Impact Hill was withheld from the lineup for the past three games while he contended with a sore rib, but he looked perfectly healthy while coming off the bench in Tuesday's 1-0 win. After checking into the contest for Akil Baddoo in the bottom of the ninth, Hill struck out in his first plate appearance before coming through with a walkoff double in the bottom of the 11th. Now that he's back in action in a starting role, Baddoo should be a near-everyday player for the Tigers for the rest of the season.
