Michael Lorenzen - Start postponed due to weather Lorenzen's scheduled start against the Mets on Tuesday was postponed due to inclement weather, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Impact Lorenzen will instead likely take the ball against the Mets on Wednesday with Tuesday's postponement being made up in a split doubleheader. The Tigers may need to alter their rotation after, as the Tigers don't have another off day until May 11 before a three-game series against the Mariners.

Ryan Kreidler - Lands on Triple-A injured list Triple-A Toledo placed Kreidler on its 7-day injured list Friday due to knee soreness, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Impact Kreidler likely would have been in consideration for a call-up to the big leagues after Kerry Carpenter (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, but Kreidler's own knee issue explains why the Tigers opted to promote Zack Short from Triple-A to fill the vacancy on the 26-man active roster. Provided Kreider's knee injury isn't anything more than soreness, he should be ready to return to action with Toledo within the next two weeks. After being optioned to Triple-A on April 15, Kreidler had slashed .300/.382/.600 across 34 plate appearances in his first eight games with Toledo.

Impact After electing to become a free agent last week when Tampa Bay moved him off its 40-man roster, Hembree has quickly caught on with a new organization. Though Hembree is initially expected to report to Triple-A Toledo, he should have a clearer path to capturing a more permanent spot in Detroit's big-league bullpen than he did with the American League East-leading Rays, who had several promising relief arms in the majors and higher levels of the minors. Hembree had posted a 1.29 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in seven innings with Triple-A Durham this season and tossed 1.1 scoreless innings in his lone relief appearance with the Rays prior to being designated for assignment.
