Impact Still batting just .188 this season, Candelario is starting to show some signs of life. Factoring in Wednesday's production, the third baseman now has hits in four straight contests, including two multi-hit efforts. Candelario was much more productive at the plate the last two years than he has been so far in 2022, so fantasy managers will likely want to remain patient.

Joe Jiménez - Struggles Wednesday Jimenez allowed three runs on two hits in an inning of work during the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pirates. He walked one and did not have any strikeouts.
Impact Jimenez entered the game with a sparkling 2.16 ERA this season, having allowed just two earned runs across his first nine appearances. However, we've seen the righty have implosions in the past, and Wednesday's poor outing raised his ERA to 4.82. That's more in line with the 5.96 ERA he posted last year, or the uglier 7.15 figure he registered in 2020. It's hard for the Tigers or fantasy managers to have much confidence in Jimenez moving forward.

Impact Faedo played with fire a bit by allowing nearly two baserunners per inning, but he limited damage in his MLB debut. The 26-year-old dealt with Tommy John surgery as well as the cancellation of the 2020 minor-league season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so his ascension to the majors hit a few roadblocks the past couple years. An extra arm was needed for Wednesday's doubleheader and the Tigers have another twin bill set for Tuesday against the Athletics; therefore, Faedo may get another turn, but he'll likely head to Triple-A Toledo after that point.

The big righty had a delayed start to spring training due to visa issues, so the Tigers may still be easing him into action to some degree, though he didn't help his cause by needing 85 pitches to retire 13 batters Wednesday. Pineda will look to pitch a bit deeper into the game in his next scheduled start Monday against the Athletics.

Gregory Soto - Earns fourth save Soto pitched a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts to earn the save in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pirates.
Impact Soto now has four saves in five chances this season, and outside of allowing an earned run back on April 8, the lefty has only allowed two unearned runs across his seven other appearances. That's left him with a stellar 1.13 ERA, and he stands a good chance of surpassing the career-best 18 saves he recorded last year if he keeps pitching like this.
