Impact DeGrom stepped back on the mound Sunday for the first time since being diagnosed with the injury July 17, and though the workout went according to plan, the team isn't yet willing to commit to a rehab schedule for the right-hander. According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the Mets do intend to have deGrom make a minor-league rehab start prior to being activated from the injured list, which means the National League MVP candidate wouldn't be on track to rejoin the big club until early August at the soonest, given where he currently stands in his recovery program. Fantasy managers can probably feel confident that they won't miss out on a deGrom start by keeping him inactive for the Mets' upcoming eight-game week.
