Impact The ace will not resume throwing until his right forearm tightness has completely dissipated. How long that will take is unclear at this time, but deGrom has dealt with enough minor arm injuries in 2021 that the Mets are likely to be especially cautious with timing his return. Dealing with forearm tightness DeGrom is getting treatment for forearm tightness, but an MRI administered Saturday didn't reveal any structural damage, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Impact His side session was halted Friday due to the injury and he is currently in a no-throw period. Given the results of the MRI, the team is treating him for forearm tightness, and while deGrom is being labeled as day-to-day, he'll miss his scheduled start Monday in Cincinnati. He has been a quick healer in the past, but he also dealt with elbow and shoulder issues in June, so perhaps everything is starting to take its toll.
