Back with big club
Siri was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.
Impact
The 27-year-old was sent to to the minors in late June but will rejoin the big-league club with Yordan Alvarez (hand) placed on the injured list. Michael Brantley (shoulder) is also sidelined, leaving Siri to compete for playing time with Chas McCormick, Jake Meyers, Mauricio Dubon and J.J. Matijevic in the outfield.

Sent to Triple-A
Siri was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Siri had been splitting time with Chas McCormick in center field but wasn't hitting well enough to justify continued opportunities. Through 45 games, he hit .185/.248/.315 while striking out 31.9 percent of the time. His 7.1 percent barrel rate indicates passable power, and his six steals give him a path to fantasy relevance if he ever regains a regular role, but he simply struck out far too often to deserve meaningful at-bats on a contender. The Astros will hope they get more from Jake Meyers (shoulder), who was recalled in a corresponding move.

Gone cold at dish
Siri went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Thursday against the Yankees.
Impact
Siri has just three hits across 33 at-bats in June, but he has still managed to split starts with Chas McCormick in center field. Both could be in jeopardy of losing playing time to either Jake Meyers (shoulder), who is scheduled to be activated from the injured list in the near future, or Mauricio Dubon once he's no longer needed in the infield. Siri has provided three home runs and six stolen bases across 141 plate appearances, but he has struck out 31.9 percent of the time and has maintained just a .185 batting average.

Riding pine Wednesday
Siri isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Impact
Siri went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in Tuesday's win over the Mets, but he'll be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games. Chas McCormick is starting in center field and batting seventh.

Adds solo shot
Siri went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Mets.
Impact
Siri provided the last run of the game with an eighth-inning blast off Mets reliever Adonis Medina. Prior to Tuesday, Siri had gone just 2-for-25 in June. The 26-year-old outfielder has a meager .190/.255/.325 slash line with three homers, nine RBI, 18 runs scored and six stolen bases in 137 plate appearances. He'll likely continue to split time in center field with Chas McCormick until one of them heats up enough to command more playing time.

Steps out of lineup
Siri is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact
The Astros have rotated their center fielders heavily over the past couple weeks, with no single player making consecutive starts over the past eight games. Siri is 1-for-21 across his last nine contests, so he should continue to split time in center with Chas McCormick and Mauricio Dubon. It's McCormick who will start Sunday's contest and bat seventh.

Gets breather Friday
Siri isn't starting Friday against the White Sox.
Impact
Siri went 1-for-4 with a run, an RBI and a strikeout in Wednesday's win over the Rangers but will be out of the lineup for the third time in the last four games. Chas McCormick is starting in center field and batting eighth.

ROTOWIRE
Ends hitless drought
Siri went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI on Wednesday against the Rangers.
Impact
Siri delivered an RBI single in the opening inning, his first hit in his last six games and 13 at-bats. He's lost playing time as a result, starting only four of the team's last eight games. Houston began the season splitting starts in center field between Siri and Chas McCormick, but Mauricio Dubon has recently played a more prominent role. For the time being, it's difficult to expect consistent plate appearances for any of the trio.

Steals sixth bag
Siri went 1-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and a stolen base Monday against the Athletics.
Impact
Siri drew his fifth start in the last seven games. He hasn't hit particularly well in that span, maintaining just a .188 average, though he has picked up three stolen bases without being caught. His playing time will be worth watching in the coming days, with Kyle Tucker (foot) currently sidelined. That being said, Siri had been playing over Chas McCormick anyway, so he's seemingly a regular in the lineup.

Stays aggressive on basepaths
Siri went 0-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base Friday against the Mariners.
Impact
Siri hasn't quite become an everyday player, though he has drawn four starts in the last six games at the expense of Chas McCormick. He picked up an RBI on a fielder's choice in the second inning and proceeded to steal his fifth base of the season -- four of which have come in his last five games. Siri has maintained a subpar a .230/.285/.368 line across 95 plate appearances on the season, but he could be a strong source of runs and stolen bases if he continues to command playing time.

Notches fourth steal
Siri went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-1 victory against Cleveland.
Impact
Siri was one of two Houston hitters to collect multiple hits in the contest, and he produced the team's only extra-base hit with a fifth-inning double. The outfielder came around to score the game's first run in that frame on a sacrifice fly. Siri also swiped a bag in the victory, marking his third theft over his past four contests.

Steals another bag
Siri went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored Saturday against the Rangers.
Impact
Siri was in the lineup for the third time in the last five games, each of which has come against a right-handed pitcher. He served as the leadoff hitter Saturday and immediately produced by singling, stealing second base and coming around to score in the first frame. Siri has one hit in each of his last three starts, also tallying two solen bases. Overall, he is hitting .231/.294/.372 across 85 plate appearances.

Swipes second bag
Siri went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base Thursday against the Rangers.
Impact
Siri was in the lineup for the seventh time in the team's last 11 games, and he replaced Michael Brantley in the outfield Thursday. After reaching base on a single in the second inning, Siri swiped his second stolen base of the season. Across his last six starts, he has collected eight hits in 24 at-bats while also racking up three RBI and four runs scored.

Back on bench
Siri is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact
Siri will take a seat after he started in four of the past five games while going 6-for-16 with two extra-base hits, two walks and four runs. Despite the uptick in playing time of late, Siri still looks to be the Astros' fourth outfielder behind Michael Brantley, Kyle Tucker and Chas McCormick.

Sits after three straight starts
Siri is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
Impact
With Michael Brantley (illness) returning to the lineup for the series finale, Siri's three-game run in the starting nine will come to an end, as Chas McCormick slides over from left field to replace Siri in center. Siri went 3-for-11 with two doubles over his three starts, but he's still slashing an underwhelming .214/.267/.357 for the season.

Not starting Wednesday
Siri isn't starting Wednesday against the Rangers after initially being included in the lineup, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Kyle Tucker was set to receive Wednesday off, but manager Dusty Baker instead decided to push that day off to Thursday, resulting in Siri moving to the bench. Siri should be back in the lineup Thursday for the series finale, assuming Tucker actual sits.
