Not starting Wednesday Siri isn't starting Wednesday against the Rangers after initially being included in the lineup, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Impact Kyle Tucker was set to receive Wednesday off, but manager Dusty Baker instead decided to push that day off to Thursday, resulting in Siri moving to the bench. Siri should be back in the lineup Thursday for the series finale, assuming Tucker actual sits.

Impact Siri earned his second start hitting atop the Astros' order this season, though he didn't take advantage of the opportunity. Positively, he did not come to the plate with any runners in scoring position, so he didn't waste any standout chance to produce. Even so, Siri is starting to lose playing time to Chas McCormick in center field -- both were in the lineup Tuesday -- and he'll need to improve upon his .194/.265/.323 line to regain a more regular role.

Impact Siri continued his hot stretch with a solo shot in the fifth to get Houston on the board, was caught stealing after reaching on a fielder's choice in the seventh and doubled and scored the game-winning run in the ninth. He's slashing a robust .455/.538/.818 through three games, though each start has come against a southpaw and Houston should see more right-handed starters moving forward.

Impact Siri is splitting time with Chas McCormick in center field, albeit on the small side of a platoon. He is likely to hit near the bottom of the order -- he led off Sunday but Jose Altuve was out of the lineup -- though the more pressing issue is Siri's inability to make consistent contact. He has only 58 plate appearances at the major-league level, but he has regularly posted strikeout rates above 30 percent in the upper levels of the minors.

Impact Siri's arrival to camp was delayed by visa issues, but he's now with the team and can start prepping for the season.
