Jo Adell - Bombing away in Triple-A Adell is slashing .355/.500/1.032 with five home runs, six doubles, 12 runs, 10 RBI and a stolen base across 40 plate appearances since his demotion to Triple-A Salt Lake on May 3.
Impact Adell broke camp with the Angels and was expected to see plenty of playing time in the majors, but he struggled offensively and defensively and was consequently sent down to work on his game. The 23-year-old has overwhelmed Triple-A pitching, as he has gone deep in five of his past seven games. Adell has also posted a promising 8:10 BB:K with Salt Lake after drawing just one walk while striking out 24 times during his stint in the majors. It's likely that Adell will be called back up to the big club in time, especially if he keeps mashing in the minors, though he'd likely be a fourth outfielder at this point given the early season success of Brandon Marsh and Taylor Ward.

Patrick Sandoval - Gets back in win column Sandoval (2-1) earned the win during Sunday's 4-1 victory over Oakland, allowing one run on four hits and four walks with four strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
Impact Sandoval was spotted a two-run lead before he took the mound and cruised for the most part after escaping a bases-loaded jam in the first inning. The 25-year-old got back on track following two decent outings, though he's now walked at least three batters in three straight outings. A 3.76 xFIP compared to a 1.91 ERA indicates Sandoval has overperformed -- the main culprit being a high 10.7 percent walk rate -- though he's proven to be one of Los Angeles' best full-time starters and should continue to produce, especially with a rematch against Oakland on tap for next weekend.

Austin Warren - Undergoes surgery Warren underwent surgery on his broken nose May 10 and is currently resting before being reevaluated, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Impact Warren was hit in the face by a ball during batting practice May 3 and sustained a nose fracture in six to seven places. With the surgery complete, he's expected to take at least a week to rest before being reevaluated. Warren could return to the team in June.

Impact The two-way star went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the first game of the twin bill, and he followed that performance with his seventh homer of the season in the nightcap. The long ball had extra significance, as it was the 100th of his major-league career. According to the Angels' communications department, Ohtani joined Hideki Matsui and Ichiro Suzuki as the third native of Japan to hit at least 100 home runs in the majors.
