Rengifo is still just 25 and hit .313/.384/.525 with four home runs and two steals in 24 games at Triple-A prior to getting the call. Matt Duffy pinch hit for him.

Impact The club has yet to specify the nature of Cabbage's injury, but it is almost certainly tied to the collision at first base that resulted in his removal from Friday night's contest. The 25-year-old has been raking for the Trash Pandas this season, posting a .327/.434/.664 slash line through 30 games. The 21-year-old was able to escape a jam in the third thanks to a double play, and retired the final nine batters he faced. Silseth made a strong bid to remain in the rotation for the foreseeable future and would most likely start next week against Texas if he sticks in the majors.

Chase Silseth - Called up for debut start Silseth's contract was selected as expected ahead of his major-league debut start against the Athletics on Friday.

Impact The Angels have shown a willingness to push their starters very quickly, as Silseth will make his big-league debut less than a year after being drafted 321st overall in the amateur draft. He threw just 5.1 professional innings last season and will get the call after making just five starts for Double-A Rocket City this year, skipping Triple-A entirely.
