Willie Calhoun - Pops two homers, including walk-off Calhoun went 2-for-5 with a pair of two-run homers in Friday's 6-5 win against the Mariners.

Impact Calhoun made the most of his first start since July 7, notching his third career two-homer game with the other two coming way back in 2019. The Angels designated hitter collected his first homer with a two-run shot off Bryan Woo in the first inning to tie the game at 2-2. Calhoun then walked off the Mariners with a 409-foot, two-run blast off Austin Voth in the 10th inning. Perhaps this performance will garner the 29-year-old some additional starts, as he's now slashing .273/.344/.419 across 192 plate appearances this season.

Tyler Anderson - Yields four runs in no-decision Anderson did not factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 win over Seattle, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Impact The Los Angeles lefty struggled out the gate, surrendering a two-run homer to Julio Rodriguez in the first inning. Anderson later allowed his third and fourth runs on another two-run long ball in the third via a 423-foot blast by Cal Raleigh. Despite the rough outing, the 34-year-old veteran wraps a resurgent first half in which he pitched to a 2.97 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 118 innings. Anderson currently lines up to make his first post-All-Star break start against the Athletics in Oakland.

José Quijada - Takes rehab to Triple-A Quijada (elbow) had his minor-league rehab assignment moved from the Arizona Complex League to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday, per MLB.com.

Impact Quijada logged five outings while with the organization's ACL club, allowing two runs on four hits while notching an 11:0 K:BB over 4.2 innings. In his first outing with Salt Lake on Wednesday, he walked two batters but didn't allow a run while recording two outs (one by strikeout). Quijada could be ready to return to the big-league club shortly after the All-Star break.

Kenny Rosenberg - Covers six frames in season debut Rosenberg pitched in long relief against Seattle on Thursday, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Impact Jack Kochanowicz was given the start in his MLB debut but lasted just three innings, giving up five runs (four earned). Rosenberg entered in the fourth and took on what amounted to a full starting workload, tossing 95 pitches (55 strikes) across six frames. It was the southpaw's first big-league outing of the season, but he was ready to handle the hefty workload since he was a starter in all 14 of his appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake. Given his usage Thursday, it wouldn't be surprising if Rosenberg is sent back to the minors in short order since he likely won't be available to take the mound again until after the All-Star break.

Jack Kochanowicz - Hit hard early in debut Kochanowicz (0-1) was charged with the loss against the Mariners on Thursday, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits over three innings while striking out one.

Impact Kochanowicz got beat up out of the gate in his major league debut, allowing four consecutive hits to open the contest while also hitting Luke Raley with a pitch. The 23-year-old would allow four runs in the frame, though only three would be charged to him on account of a fielding error from Luis Guillorme. Kochanowicz then went 1-2-3 through the second before surrendering a leadoff homer to Cal Raleigh in the third, though the right-hander would at least make it through the inning before being relieved by Kenny Rosenberg to begin the fourth. It was an ugly first start for the rookie, who will look to bounce back strong following the All-Star break if given another opportunity.

José Marte - Optioned to Salt Lake The Angels optioned Marte to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.

Impact Marte will end up as the odd man out of a roster spot as Jack Kochanowicz comes up from Double-A to start Thursday's game against the Mariners. Marte has posted the best numbers of his MLB career this season, logging a 3.55 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over 12.2 innings. He's been equally as solid in the minor leagues (2.89 ERA in 18.2 innings), so there's a good chance the 28-year-old right-hander rejoins the Halos' bullpen at some point this season.

Jack Kochanowicz - Officially promoted The Angels recalled Kochanowicz from Double-A Rocket City on Thursday ahead of his start versus the Mariners.

Impact Kochanowicz will be making his MLB debut Thursday after posting a 1.85 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across 34 innings during his last five Double-A starts. Davis Daniel was optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday, so the fifth spot in the Angels' rotation currently belongs to Kochanowicz, but the 23-year-old right-hander may be sent back to the minor leagues if he begins to struggle against MLB hitters. In order to free up a spot on the active roster, the Angels optioned Jose Marte to Triple-A.
