Impact Hildenberger was limited to just six appearances in the minors last year with four of those coming with Triple-A Sacramento. The right-handed hurler has not pitched in the majors since 2021, when he made two appearances with the Mets. He provides some relief depth for the minors and isn't likely to be a factor for the Giants again in 2023.

After electing free agency following the season and catching on with the Giants, Duron will compete for a spot in San Francisco's Opening Day bullpen, but he'll most likely begin the year at Triple-A Sacramento.

Impact Once one of the more promising young left-handers in baseball, Newcomb has struggled to throw strikes over the past three seasons. He posted an 8.78 ERA in 20 appearances last season with a 24:15 K:BB in 22.2 innings. The southpaw will get a chance to win a spot in the San Francisco bullpen, but is just as likely -- if not more so -- to begin the 2023 season with Triple-A Sacramento after the Cactus League comes to a close.

Ronald Guzmán - Will get chance to pitch in 2023 Guzman was listed as a two-way player by the Giants on their list of spring training invites, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Impact Guzman signed a minor-league contract with the Giants in the middle of January, and has spent the overwhelming bulk of his time as a professional at first base. The left-handed thrower appeared in one game as a reliever with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as a member of the Yankees' organization in 2022, and reportedly can get his fastball into the mid-to-high 90s. It's unlikely that Guzman will hit or pitch well enough to be relevant in fantasy leagues in 2023, but it will be fun to see him attempt to do both in the Cactus League.
