Impact France missed two games while under the weather, and he couldn't do much in a contest that saw the Mariners' bats silenced until the eighth inning. The first baseman is now slashing .238/.336/.352 with a home run, 15 RBI, 17 runs scored, nine doubles and a stolen base through 122 plate appearances. He should be good to handle a near-everyday role going forward.

Impact The Mariners didn't have a hit until Pollock took Richard Lovelady deep in the eighth inning to tie the game at 1-1. Over his last five contests, Pollock had gone 1-for-16 with five strikeouts. The homer was his third of the season, and the outfielder has added nine RBI, four runs scored, two doubles, no stolen bases and a meager .130/.172/.333 slash line through 58 plate appearances.

Impact Sewald got through the clean inning on 17 pitches (11 strikes). He's now posted three consecutive scoreless appearances after giving up a run in back-to-back outings. The 32-year-old has been solid this year with a 2.81 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB through 16 innings. He's also converted eight saves and picked up two wins in 16 outings.

Bryce Miller - Excellent in debut Miller allowed a run on two hits and struck out 10 without walking a batter over six innings, taking a no-decision Tuesday versus the Athletics.
Impact Miller didn't allow a baserunner in the first five innings, but a Tony Kemp single and Esteury Ruiz double led to a run in the sixth. While the A's are hardly an intimidating opponent, Miller still looked excellent with 57 of his 81 pitches going for strikes. The 24-year-old right-hander is expected to get an extended look in the Mariners' rotation with Robbie Ray (elbow) and Easton McGee (forearm) out, so Miller should be expected to face a much tougher opponent at home versus the Astros this weekend.

Impact The 30-year-old has struggled with big-league arms after an encouraging initial 50-game cup of coffee with the Yankees back in 2019, when he posted a .259 average and .909 OPS across 163 plate appearances. However, Ford has been a terror with the Rainiers during his stints with them over the last two seasons, and his aforementioned impressive 2023 numbers are accompanied by a 14.0 percent walk rate and minuscule 11.2 percent strikeout rate. Ford's age and the fact he's been almost exclusively limited to playing first base and filling the designated hitter role throughout his long professional career dampens his overall prospects, but he could potentially get another crack at the majors at some point this season if he continues his current offensive tear down on the farm.
