Impact Even on the rare occasions these days when he doesn't hit safely, Haggerty still seems to find a way to contribute. Working out of the No. 9 spot Wednesday, the veteran outfielder was plunked in the third inning, stole second base and eventually came around to score on Mitch Haniger's single. Haggerty has been complementing a red-hot bat with some solid stolen-base production of late, as he's now swiped three bags in the last four games.

Impact Kirby's outing Wednesday was a mixed bag of results. On one hand, he allowed three earned runs and six hits while throwing 63 of 94 pitches for strikes across 5.2 frames. On the other hand, he allowed only one walk and struck out six batters. Kirby has lasted six or more innings in just two of his last seven starts, a sign that Seattle may be limiting his innings. Impact Raleigh launched a solo shot in the fifth inning, then a two-run homer in the ninth that scored J.P. Crawford. The catcher is up to 18 home runs on the year and four for the month. Raleigh has struggled for consistency, picking up 10 hits this month while also striking out 14 times. His batting average now sits at .208, the highest it has been since it was .211 on July 30.

Impact Suarez contributed two of Seattle's 11 runs in Wednesday's game thanks to a fifth-inning home run that also sent Mitch Haniger home. It was Suarez's 20th homer of the year and his fourth this month. The third baseman's lone hit in the game was his first since Aug. 13. Suarez hit .257 in June, .218 in July, but is batting only .170 so far this month. He struck out twice in Wednesday's game, a problem that has plagued him throughout the year. Impact It's fair to wonder how much of Kelenic's struggles in the big-league batter's box are mental at this point, as he seems to flip a switch for the better whenever he goes back to facing Triple-A arms. Kelenic's sample in his current Rainiers stint already includes three doubles and one home run, and he's back to making consistent contact after striking out at a massive 40.7 percent clip while hitting just .074 during his recent 10-game tenure with the Mariners. Given that Kelenic had also put together impressive numbers over an extended period with Tacoma before that ill-fated promotion, the organization may opt to have the 23-year-old ply his trade at the Triple-A level for the remainder of the minor-league season in an attempt to continue building his confidence.
