Dylan Moore - Laces key triple in win Moore went 1-for-2 with a two-run triple and a walk in a win over the Astros on Sunday. He was also caught stealing on his only attempt.

Impact The slugging veteran came into the day with just a single extra-base hit -- another three-bagger -- in his previous 16 games, but he snapped that rare drought with a second-inning laser that plated Josh Rojas and Luke Raley to give the Mariners an early 2-0 lead. The two RBI were also Moore's first since June 22, and despite Sunday's success, he's still carrying a .212 average that has plenty of room for improvement.

Impact The veteran outfielder worked out of the No. 2 spot in the lineup for the second consecutive game and continued validating his bump up the order with his third multi-hit effort in the last five games. Robles also recorded his fifth stolen base in the last four contests after his fifth-inning infield single, and with a .390 average and 1.053 OPS across 49 plate appearances since joining the offensively inconsistent Mariners, his hot bat looks like it will be a mainstay in the lineup for the foreseeable future.

Impact Haniger was logging his second consecutive start after sitting out the last two games before the All-Star break and the first one after the pause in play concluded Friday. The 33-year-old was able to make some offensive contributions, which have been few and far between for him this season in his return from a one-year stay with the Giants. The Mariners notably cut ties with another once-productive veteran in Ty France after Sunday's game, and Haniger may need to give his current .208/.287/.335 slash line a serious boost soon in order to avoid a similar fate.

Jorge Polanco - Pops homer Sunday Polanco went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Astros.

Impact Polanco got going with a 394-foot solo blast to right center off Ronel Blanco to extend the Mariners' lead to 3-1. He later singled in the sixth and came around to score on a three-run homer from Luke Raley. Polanco's home run was his first since May 3 and his sixth on the year. He has three multi-hit games since July 9 after having after having just two such games entering the month. It's been a struggle offensively overall for the 30-year-old, as he's slashing .205/.291/.304 with 19 RBI, 20 runs and a 24:79 BB:K in 251 plate appearances.

Luke Raley - Homers in Sunday's win Raley went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Astros.

Impact Raley punished a first-pitch sweeper from Seth Martinez for a huge three-run blast to put the Mariners up 6-2 in the sixth inning. The homer was Raley's first hit since notching a single back on July 10 and he drove in his first RBI since July 6, which was the last time he'd homered before Sunday. The 29-year-old lefty is now slashing .235/.293/.420 with 11 homers, 29 RBI, 35 runs and a 10:88 BB:K in 277 plate appearances.

Andrés Muñoz - Closes door on Astros Munoz earned a save Sunday against the Astros after striking out the side in the ninth inning.

Impact Munoz sent down Jake Meyers, Trey Cabbage and Joey Loperfido on strikes to end the ballgame and bring the Mariners back to level with the Astros in the standings. He's now struck out six over his last 3.1 innings and is working on a 7.1 innings scoreless streak. The 25-year-old is up to 16 saves on the season and has been one of the more dominant closers in the game with a 1.37 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB in 39.1 innings.

Bryan Woo - Efficient in win Woo (4-1) got the win over the Astros on Sunday, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out five over 5.2 innings.

Impact All the significant damage against Woo came off the bat of Yordan Alvarez. He surrendered a solo home run in the fourth, and then Alvarez laced a triple off him in the sixth to bring another run home. Woo only threw 73 pitches, but Sunday was his longest outing since he went six innings June 6. It was also the sixth time in 10 starts this season he hasn't issued a walk. It was an excellent bounce back effort from the 24-year-old after his worst start of the year July 12. Woo will carry a 2.54 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 34:5 K:BB in 49.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to be against the White Sox over the weekend.

Tyler Locklear - Taking over as top first baseman The Mariners are expected to recall Locklear from Triple-A Tacoma this week to take over as the club's everyday first baseman, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Seattle is pulling the plug on incumbent first baseman Ty France, who was placed on irrevocable outright waivers Sunday. The Mariners may have to wait until France is claimed or clears waivers before adding Locklear to the roster in a corresponding move, so it's not immediately clear if Locklear will be available for Monday's series opener versus the Angels. In any case, Locklear will be back in the big leagues soon, and he should have a decent amount of leash in an everyday role as the Mariners look to him to provide a spark to a dormant offense. Locklear owns an .839 OPS over 142 plate appearances on the season at Tacoma and slashed .200/.250/.433 in 32 plate appearances with the Mariners during his first stint in the big leagues back in June.

Ty France - Placed on waivers France was placed on irrevocable outright waivers by the Mariners on Sunday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Impact France will now be able to be claimed by the 29 other teams in the league and if he goes unclaimed, the team can option him to the minor leagues. That being said, France has the option to decline reporting to the minors as a result of his MLB service time. Additionally, there's a possibility that he clears waivers and remains with the major-league roster, something that the Blue Jays did with Kevin Kiermaier earlier in July. France has produced a disappointing .223 average with eight home runs, 31 RBI and 28 runs scored over 300 at-bats in 88 games with Seattle so far this season.
