Logan Gilbert - Picks up easy win Gilbert (6-5) got the win Tuesday over the Padres, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over 7.2 innings.

Impact All three runs against Gilbert came at the tail end of his outing. He allowed a solo home run to Jake Cronenworth in the seventh, and Kyle Higashioka added on with a two-run blast in the eighth to force Gilbert's exit from the game. Tuesday was just the third time this year he's allowed multiple home runs in a start, but also was the first time this season he's picked up a win while allowing more than one run. The 27-year-old recently was named an All-Star for the first time in his four-year career, and rightfully so, as he sports a 2.94 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 115:25 K:BB in 125.1 innings so far. He lines up for a Sunday start against the Angels this weekend before the league heads into the All-Star break.

Dominic Canzone - Nursing groin injury Canzone exited Tuesday's win over the Padres after feeling discomfort in his groin while running, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Impact Canzone said he initially suffered the injury while making a catch during Sunday's contest, and it flared up in the fifth frame Tuesday while running to second base on a double. He's slated to receive an MRI on Wednesday, which will help determine his availability for Seattle's final stretch of games before the All-Star break.

Dominic Canzone - Removed early Tuesday Canzone was removed from Tuesday's game against the Padres with a possible injury, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Impact The Mariners haven't yet provided an official reason for Canzone's early exit, but the 26-year-old outfielder did appear to be in some pain while running after hitting a double in the fifth inning. He'll head into the clubhouse for further evaluation, and more information on his status should be released in the near future.

Bryan Woo - Returning over weekend Manager Scott Servais said Tuesday that Woo (hamstring) will return from the injured list during Seattle's upcoming series against the Angels, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Impact Servais didn't specify exactly what day Woo will return to start, though his usual spot in the rotation is due to pitch Friday. The 24-year-old had been dominant in eight starts prior to landing on the IL with a strained hamstring, posting a 1.77 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in 40.2 innings. However, he threw just 45 pitches in 2.2 frames during his lone rehab start Saturday, so Woo will most likely be working under a relatively low pitch count in his return to a major-league mound.

Julio Rodríguez - Back in lineup Tuesday Rodriguez (quadriceps) is starting in center field and batting in the cleanup spot for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Impact Rodriguez was removed from Saturday's game against the Blue Jays due to a quadriceps injury. He was absent from the lineup Sunday, but he managed to pinch hit in the eighth inning and was hit by a pitch in his lone plate appearance. The Mariners' day off Monday seems to have done the trick for Rodriguez as he returns to his regular post in center field for Tuesday's series opener. Since June 1, the 23-year-old is slashing .212/.273/.331 with four home runs, nine RBI and a 25.0 percent strikeout rate across 118 at-bats.
