Impact Edman hit ninth Thursday against the right-handed JT Brubaker after hitting leadoff in an everyday role last season. His first hit of the season left the yard in the eighth inning off reliever Aaron Fletcher. Edman isn't known for his pop -- he's posted a modest 27 homers across his three major-league seasons. Batting at the bottom of the order could hurt the second baseman's production due to a drop in the volume of his plate appearances, though there's still a chance he'll hit leadoff against southpaws.

Nolan Arenado - Blasts two-run home run Arenado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Thursday's 9-0 win over the Pirates.
Impact Arenado's first hit of the season left the yard, accounting for the Cardinals' last two runs in a blowout win. The third baseman has knocked no fewer than 34 homers in each full season since 2015, and he's already off to a strong start in the power department this season. Arenado can be penciled in as a near-everyday option once again in 2022.

Impact Goldschmidt, who's known as a slugger, played set-up man for the Cardinals on Thursday. The 34-year-old is expected to be a high-end first baseman in fantasy this season, though it's unlikely he registers many more stolen bases this season.

The 26-year-old slugger picked up where he left off last season and will likely be a key piece of the Cardinals' lineup in 2022, though he's still expected to be a heavy strikeout candidate.
