Cooper Criswell - Claimed by Rays Criswell (shoulder) was claimed off waivers by the Rays and optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Impact Criswell has been out all year while recovering from shoulder inflammation, and the Angels evidently didn't have a spot available for him now that he's healthy. He posted a 3.50 ERA and 24:4 K:BB across 18 rehab innings but will remain in the minors for now.

Kevin Kiermaier - Transferred to 60-day IL Kiermaier (hip) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Kiermaier was placed on the injured list with a left hip injury Sunday and will be unavailable until at least mid-September after being transferred to the 60-day IL. The 31-year-old will visit with a hip specialist after the All-Star break and isn't yet sure whether he'll be able to return to game action prior to the end of the regular season.

Ralph Garza Jr. - Optioned to Triple-A Garza was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Garza joined the major-league bullpen Tuesday but didn't make any appearances during his time with the Rays. The right-hander will head back to the minors after Ryan Yarbrough was recalled to start Saturday's game against the Orioles. Garza has posted a 4.20 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 15 innings over 10 appearances (two starts) in Durham this year.

Jonathan Aranda - Sent down Saturday Aranda was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Aranda was called up by the Rays on July 10 and went 4-for-13 with a double, a run, an RBI and three strikeouts over five games during his stint with the major-league club. However, he'll head back to the minors after Brandon Lowe (back) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Saturday. Aranda is expected to get playing time in the outfield in addition to his infield work with the Triple-A club.

Ryan Yarbrough - Recalled prior to start Yarbrough was recalled from Triple-A Durham ahead of Saturday's start against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Yarbrough was sent down at the beginning of July and posted a 4.15 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 8.2 innings over two minor-league outings following his demotion. The 30-year-old last started for the Rays on June 30 against the Blue Jays, and he allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout in 5.1 innings. He'll take the rotation spot of Shane Baz (elbow), who went on the 60-day injured list Saturday and won't be back until September at the earliest.
