Calvin Faucher - Receives call to majors The Rays recalled Faucher from Triple-A Durham on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Faucher will head to the big leagues for the first time in his career after the Rays cleared a spot for him by optioning Ralph Garza to Durham. The 26-year-old right-hander will give Tampa Bay another multi-inning option out of the bullpen after he recorded more than three outs in all but three of his 11 outings in the minors this season. During his time at Durham, he accrued a 5.02 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB in 14.1 innings.

Ralph Garza Jr. - Sent down Monday Garza was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Garza was called up by the Rays on Saturday, and he made two relief appearances during his brief stint in the majors. He allowed a run on a hit and a walk in three innings but will head back to Durham after Calvin Faucher was called up Monday.

Impact Facing live hitters marks the next step forward in the rehab process for Baz, who has been sidelined since undergoing arthroscopic surgery in late March to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. He initiated a throwing program just over two weeks ago and has thus far checked out fine while advancing from long tossing to pitching bullpen sessions, which seemingly keeps him on pace to return from the 60-day injured list when first eligible June 6. For that to become a reality, however, Baz will need to avoid any setbacks upon facing hitters and eventually, making multiple minor-league starts as part of a rehab assignment.

JT Chargois - Throwing from 105 feet Chargois (oblique) has been throwing from 105 feet and is hoping to throw a bullpen session soon, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Chargois has been sidelined since an appearance on Opening Day. There is no clear timeline for his return, though this is the first notable progress that Chargois has made in the last month.

Impact Mazza was placed on the injured list April 23 due to back spasms. Though he's eligible to return, he has continued to experience discomfort and his activation does not appear imminent. Prior to being sidelined, Mazza had been hit hard as a bulk reliever, as he has an 11.81 ERA and 2.81 WHIP with a 5:6 K:BB across 5.1 frames.

Impact Kittredge entered the game in the eighth inning with a one-run lead. Impact Margot reached base in his final three plate appearances, singling and stealing second in the fifth, knocking a solo blast off Erik Swanson in the eighth and being intentionally walked in the 10th. The outfielder has hit safely in all eight games in May, producing a .464/.500/.929 with three home runs in that span. With a .325/.391/.494 batting line, he's putting up career-best numbers over the first part of the season.

Impact Infielder Isaac Paredes was sent to Triple-A Durham to clear a spot on the 26-man active roster for Choi, who returns after a minimum-length stay on the IL due to loose bodies in his right elbow. Considering that Choi bats from the left side of the plate and isn't forced to do much throwing with his right arm given that he serves as either a first baseman or designated hitter, the injury shouldn't be anything that's too worrisome moving forward. With Choi back in the fold, Yandy Diaz is expected to move across the diamond to see most of his work at third base, which will likely result in Taylor Walls losing out on at-bats.

Kevin Kiermaier - Collects two hits, swipes bag Kiermaier went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in an 8-2 win against the Mariners on Saturday.
Impact Kiermaier did his damage early with a single in the third inning and a double and theft of third base in the fifth for only his second multi-hit game of the season. The 34-year-old has been slumping through May, going 1-for-18 over the five games prior to Saturday's effort, and the steal was his first of the season. Impact Lowe took Marco Gonzales yard in consecutive plate appearances, bringing his homer total to five on the season. Impact Rasmussen primarily relied on groundballs to keep the Mariners' offense in check. His lone blemish came in the fifth frame when he allowed a leadoff triple to Julio Rodriguez, who came around to score on a subsequent single. Rasmussen has suppressed runs effectively for most of the season, but he's importantly worked at least five innings in each of his last three starts and earned a win on each occasion. He's maintained an impressive 2.89 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with a 26:7 K:BB on the campaign.
