Swipes bag off bench Freeman logged a stolen base as a pinch runner in Friday's 10-8 win over the Guardians. Impact Freeman ran for Josh Naylor, who exited the game with a bruised ankle in the eighth inning. The steal was Freeman's first in a month, though a lack of playing time is partially to blame for that. He's seen action in 19 contests in August, going a putrid 2-for-35 (.057) while getting plunked four times. Freeman is at a .206/.304/.320 slash line with 11 steals, seven home runs, 32 RBI, 48 runs scored, 14 doubles and a triple over 112 contests this season. The 25-year-old's slump has relegated him to a short-side platoon role at shortstop, and his playing time could shrink further depending on which players the Guardians call up when rosters expand Sunday.
