Resumes full workouts Freeman (shoulder) has begun participating in full team workouts at extending spring training in Arizona, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Impact Freeman remains on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Columbus while he continues to ramp up from the shoulder surgery he required last summer. He's likely at least a couple weeks away from debuting with the Triple-A club.

Opens season on IL Triple-A Columbus placed Freeman (shoulder) on its 7-day injured list April 5.

Impact The 22-year-old is apparently still in need of further time to complete his rehab program for the surgery he required last August to address a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Prior to his 2021 season being cut short by the shoulder injury, Freeman slashed .323/.372/.470 across 180 plate appearances at Double-A Akron.

Impact This move was a given, even though Freeman's 2021 season didn't go as planned. He performed up to his usual standards (.323/.372/.470), but was limited to 41 games at Double-A when a shoulder injury ended his season. He is recovering from left labrum surgery and should spend the bulk of the 2022 season at Triple-A.
