Starting from rear Sunday Lajoie and the No. 7 Chevrolet will have to start from the rear in Sunday's Dixie Vodka 400 because of unapproved adjustments with his car, Jim Utter of Motorsport.com reports.

Impact Sunday's race could end up as a disastrous one for Lajoie as he's going to be without his crew chief due to COVID-19 protocols and now also has to start from the rear. The North Carolina native had a disappointing finish last weekend after starting the race in seventh and falling all the way back to 31. Hopefully he can have a better showing despite his undesired starting position.

Impact Lajoie will be without his regular crew chief this weekend in the third event of the season at Homestead. Sparks will be replaced by veteran Steve Letarte atop the team's war wagon. This is only a minor setback and shouldn't affect Lajoie's performance in any way. Letarte has over 300 Cup Series starts at crew chief and drivers have won 15 victories with his guidance. He'll be a more than capable fill-in for the Spire team.
