Third at Auto Club Speedway Jones finished third in the WISE Power 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact Jones had his strongest performance since his move to Petty GMS Motorsports last year. He finished runner-up in both of the first two stages and raced among the leaders all afternoon. Jones led 18 total laps and set his lap-leader mark since taking over the No. 43 Chevrolet. The final restart would see him battle among the leaders and get by Daniel Suarez to secure third-place. It was Jones first Top 5 of the season and first-career Top-5 finish at Auto Club Speedway.
