Third at Bristol Motor Speedway Byron finished third in the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday night. Impact Byron kept his championship hopes alive with a strong performance at the Bristol short track. The young driver hasn't had the best luck at this challenging oval, but he turned in a great effort in this 500-lap race. Byron started 14th on the grid and quickly pushed inside the Top 10, where he'd remain the rest of the evening. He'd grab Top-5 track position to start stage 3 and hold off Ryan Blaney in the closing laps to secure his career-best Bristol finish and 10th Top 5 of the season. Byron advances into the Round of 12 of the Chase next week at Las Vegas.
