Impact Hayward shed his walking boot a week ago, but he still hasn't progressed to live action. However, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer suggests that the veteran forward could reach that step sometime during Charlotte's upcoming five-game homestand, which begins Wednesday versus the Hawks. Until he resumes full-contact work in practice, however, he can probably be viewed as week-to-week rather than day-to-day. In the meantime, P.J. Washington should continue benefiting from Hayward's absence.
