Impact Back in action for the first time since Nov. 7, Johnson hit a three-pointer late in the first quarter to take a six-point lead into the second quarter, but head coach Chauncey Billups surprisingly didn't call his number the rest of the way. Before missing time with the hip injury, Johnson had been a regular in the rotation. Still, he could find himself out of the mix if the Trail Blazers decide to prioritize rookie first-round pick Shaedon Sharpe and/or Gary Payton (abdomen), who should be close to making his season debut.

Impact Simons fell in a heap Thursday, putting up easily his worst game of the season. After scoring at least 20 points in four consecutive games, this was merely an off-night for Simons, who thus far has been one of the breakout stars of the season. With Damian Lillard now healthy, Simons is likely to see a bit of a drop-off when compared to his early season numbers. With that said, managers can rest assured he will be better than this moving forward.

Impact Sharpe struggled yet again in the loss, scoring fewer than eight points for the ninth time in the past 10 games. While there have been brief flashes thus far during his rookie campaign, he simply offers very little when it comes to overall fantasy value. At this point, he should be viewed as a possible streaming candidate, and even then he comes with an element of risk.

Damian Lillard - Catches fire in 40-point explosion Lillard recorded 40 points (12-22 FG, 9-17 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, 12 assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Thursday's 121-120 loss to the Nuggets.
Impact Lillard connected on a season-high nine triples, propelling the Trail Blazers to within one point of victory. Since returning from his second stint on the sideline, Lillard has put together back-to-back performances of at least 32 minutes. Production aside, this is a great sign that he is fully recovered from his nagging calf issue.
