Impact Thomas once again played over 60 percent of Carolina's offensive snaps and helped the team with a couple of gains for first downs. With a long reception of 24 yards, Thomas enjoyed his best performance of the campaign, and although rookie Tommy Tremble managed a five-yard touchdown early, Thomas' outing Sunday still offers a slight boost to his fantasy stock ahead of Week 6's matchup versus the Vikings.

Royce Freeman - Limited usage Sunday Freeman rushed three times for two yards and caught one of two targets for six yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Eagles.

Impact Freeman's first touch came on Carolina's opening drive, but the veteran was incorporated sparingly with rookie Chuba Hubbard going for over 130 scrimmage yards on his 29 touches. Overall, Freeman played 20 percent of the offensive snaps compared to Hubbard's 65 percent. With Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) seemingly likely to return in Week 6 versus the Vikings, both Freeman and Hubbard could see their respective roles reduced, but unlike Freeman, Hubbard showed enough Sunday to potentially remain in the mix to limit McCaffrey's exposure upon his return.

Robby Anderson - Struggles yet again Anderson caught two of seven targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Eagles.

Impact Anderson had a 25-yard gain on Carolina's last offensive drive, but he then saw quarterback Sam Darnold intercepted while targeting him on the next play. Overall, it proved too little, too late for Anderson, who has disappointed to start this season. Through five games, he's averaging just over 35 yards per contest and boasts merely 12 catches and one touchdown. Although it'd be surprising if Anderson -- who led the Panthers with 95 receptions for 1,096 yards last season -- didn't breakthrough before long, his very slow start dampens his outlook in Week 6 versus the Vikings.

Impact Moore's two unsuccessful looks both resulted in interceptions by opposing cornerback Darius Slay. Although neither was Moore's fault, the wideout still had his worst statistical performance of the campaign thus far, mainly due to quarterback Sam Darnold's struggles. On the bright side, Moore still led the Panthers in receptions once again, and he entered Sunday having topped 75 yards in each of his four games prior. The ascending talent will hope to return to that good form in Week 6's matchup versus the Vikings.

Chuba Hubbard - Over 130 yards from scrimmage Hubbard rushed 24 times for 101 yards and caught five of six targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Eagles

Impact Hubbard played very well in his second NFL start in place of the injured Christian McCaffrey (hamstring). The rookie fourth-rounder began with a 26-yard rush in the first quarter and kept his momentum going with a number of nice gains afterward, tying for the team lead in receptions as well. Overall, his play earned him nearly 30 touches on the day, mimicking McCaffrey's usual workload while backup Royce Freeman was restricted to just four touches. While it was great to see Hubbard take advantage of his opportunity Sunday, the seemingly likely return of McCaffrey in Week 6 versus the Vikings could suddenly return Hubbard to second-string duty. Given his production, though, Hubbard's presence could potentially help Carolina manage McCaffrey's exposure upon his return, making the team's backfield situation worth monitoring further going forward.

Sam Darnold - Throws three INTs in loss Darnold completed 21 of 37 passes for 177 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Eagles.

Impact Darnold's worst performance as a Panther saw him throw a trio of bad interceptions. His first two were picked off by Darius Slay while targeting DJ Moore, then Darnold put it behind Robby Anderson for his back-breaking final interception as Carolina was attempting to comeback late in the fourth quarter. Although he did manage a five-yard touchdown to Tommy Tremble in the first half, Sunday still marked an awful outing for Darnold, who had completed at least 65 percent and averaged at least 7.5 yards on his attempts in four games prior. The signal-caller will hope to return to that good form while eliminating his recent turnovers in Week 6's matchup against the Vikings, when the potential return of superstar weapon Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) could offer him a needed boost.
