Impact The starting assignment was fully expected for Hubbard after McCaffrey took a doubtful designation into the weekend following limited practices Wednesday through Friday. While McCaffrey was sidelined for the Week 4 loss to Dallas, Hubbard paced the backfield with 13 carries for 57 yards, but he was limited to two catches for 14 yards on two targets in the passing game, as Carolina leaned on Rodney Smith as its primary third-down back. As such, a true three-down role may not await Hubbard on Sunday, but he still looks like a strong fantasy option as the lead runner for a Carolina squad that will be facing the NFL's 31st-ranked run defense.

Frankie Luvu - Draws start in Week 5 Luvu will draw the start with Shaq Thompson (foot) unavailable for Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Jonathan M. Alexander of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact Haason Reddick will flip over to the strongside linebacker position, and Luvu will draw the start in Reddick's normal spot on the weakside. Luvu has five tackles and one sack through the first four weeks of the season, but he should see increased production as a starter in Week 5.

Impact Though he practiced in a limited capacity all week, McCaffrey took a doubtful designation into Sunday and will ultimately miss a second straight game. Even so, McCaffrey's ability to practice in any capacity this week -- as well as the Panthers' decision not to place him on injured reserve -- hints that the star tailback may be ready to go for the Week 6 game versus Minnesota. While McCaffrey is idle against the Eagles, however, rookie Chuba Hubbard is expected to serve as Carolina's lead back, with Rodney Smith likely serving as the top option on obvious passing downs.
