Trent Brown - Season is over Brown will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon suffered in Monday's 38-33 loss to the Commanders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Impact Brown will now miss the remainder of the 2024 campaign but is expected to make a full recovery and be able to return in 2025. The injury will force the Bengals to turn to their first-round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, Amarius Mims, at right tackle, which was likely the plan eventually. However, Mims is raw and lacks experience. He also missed much of training camp and the start of the season due to a pectoral injury. Brown signed with the Bengals in the spring to a one-year contract, likely to be a predecessor to Mims, and may be looking for a new home next season once he is healthy.
