Impact Mitchell sustained a concussion Week 13 at Seattle, and while recovering from the head injury it was discovered that he was dealing with knee irritation. He cleared the concussion protocol last Monday, but the latter issue kept him sidelined for a third consecutive contest last Thursday in Tennessee. Mitchell's appearance on the practice field Wednesday will mark his first since picking up the initial health concern, which may pave the way for him to return to action this Sunday against the Texans.

With Mitchell sidelined this past Sunday at Cincinnati, Jeff Wilson served as the primary runner en route to 13 carries for 56 yards, but Kyle Juszczyk and JaMycal Hasty combined for four catches on five targets, and Deebo Samuel matched his season high with eight carries to go with one reception. A similar breakdown of work may come to pass Week 15 against the Falcons if Mitchell is forced to miss another game.
