Whitney Mercilus - Returns to practice Mercilus (biceps) was designated to return from injured reserve Thursday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Mercilus was initially expected to be out for the remainder of the season after he sustained a biceps injury in mid-November, but he'll rejoin the Packers for practice ahead of the playoffs. Whether he's available for the divisional round remains to be seen, but his return to the practice field is certainly encouraging.

Impact The linebacker was placed on IR Dec. 24, but will now have 21 days to either return to practice or remain on IR for the rest of the season. Summers appeared in 14 regular-season contests, making nine tackles and recovering a fumble while operating mostly as a special-teams option.

Aaron Rodgers - Toe issue almost behind him Rodgers said Wednesday that his fractured left pinkie toe won't be an issue in the postseason, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Rodgers has been contending with the injury since his return from a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list that forced him to sit out a Week 9 matchup with the Chiefs. While he didn't record a touchdown in his return Week 10 against the Seahawks, he's been on an absolute tear in the meantime, throwing for 20 scores versus no interceptions while racking up 1,929 yards over the last seven games. Rodgers relayed he hasn't taken a pain-killing injection in his toe since it was stepped on just before halftime of a Christmas Day win over the Browns, a span of two contests. He also practiced Wednesday, after which he noted that he was "close to 100 percent." The Packers won't play their first playoff game until Jan. 22 or 23.
