Now, the starting linebacker continues to work his way back toward full health in time for playoff action. Impact Jones' participation in practice is a solid sign that he would have played in the team's Week 18 loss to the Lions if the Packers hadn't already clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed prior to the contest. As is, Jones sat out for just the second time all season, and he's now on track to return for a divisional-round matchup against either the Rams, Cardinals, 49ers or Eagles, depending on what happens in the wild-card round.

Impact Valdes-Scantling apparently isn't ready for practice three days after injuring his back in the second quarter of Green Bay's Week 18 loss to Detroit, but he'll have some extra time to get healthy with his team on bye in the first round of the playoffs. If Valdes-Scantling isn't ready for the next round, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb (groin) will be the top candidates to take on extra snaps and targets.

Za'Darius Smith - Returns to practice The Packers have designated Smith (back) for return from IR, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Coach Matt LaFleur said Smith will practice Wednesday, which is an encouraging step in his recovery from back surgery. Smith has been on injured reserve since Green Bay's season opener, and with the team beginning the postseason with a bye week, he will have a bit more time ramp up his on-field activity.
