Julian Blackmon - Five tackles Sunday Blackmon started at free safety and had five total tackles and a tackle for a loss in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Impact He showed promise against the pass after becoming a starter last season by allowing just a 40.2 passer rating against, according to Pro Football Focus, and by grabbing two interceptions. He wasn't targeted in the passing game Sunday. He didn't rush the passer all last season or against Seattle, so he's not used in blitz packages. However, he could be a steady source of tackles.

Darius Leonard - Underwhelming production Sunday Leonard had five total tackles in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Impact Leonard didn't have a game last season with fewer than six tackles when he played a full game, so his stat line was a little underwhelming despite playing on all 54 of the defense's snaps. He also allowed all three passes targeted at him to be completed, according to Pro Football Focus. He's healthy and still the cornerstone of the defense, so he should improve.

DeForest Buckner - Records sack in season opener Buckner had six total tackles, a sack and two QB hits in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Impact Buckner was his usual disruptive self despite the rest of the defense's struggles. After missing time with a foot injury in training camp, he was fully healthy Sunday.

Bobby Okereke - Gets start at MLB Okereke started at middle linebacker and had seven total tackles in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Impact Okereke won the starting middle linebacker role during the preseason after the departure of Anthony Walker in free agency, but wasn't impressive in the regular season opener. He had two missed tackles and allowed all three passes targeted at him to be completed for 32 yards, according to Pro Football Focus.

Impact Paye didn't record a sack but provided had two QB hurries, according to Pro Football Focus, in his professional debut. The 2021 first-round draft pick looks set to stick as a starter at defense end opposite Al-Quadin Muhammad.

Ashton Dulin - Plays just six snaps on offense Dulin did not have a target or carry in Sunday's loss to Seattle. He played six snaps on offense.
Impact Dulin played 18 snaps on special teams, where he'll have his largest role. Dulin is mostly on the roster for his prowess on special teams and may not be much of a factor as a receiver unless there are several injuries.

Impact Despite some reports from the preseason that he could be featured in the passing game, Granson went out for a pass on just two plays. He's a distant third option at tight end behind Mo Alie-Cox and Jack Doyle. The fourth-round 2021 draft pick is a work in progress who could move into a larger role later this season.

Rodrigo Blankenship - Doesn't miss in season opener Blankenship connected on his only field-goal attempt and made his only extra-point attempt during Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Seahawks.
Impact Blankenship once again came out of a training camp competition on top and started his 2021 campaign off without a hitch. He connected on a 21-yard attempt on the Colts' opening drive and sank an extra point two drives later, but as the Seahawks started to pull away, the Colts elected to keep him sidelined. The 2020 UDFA went 31-for-34 from inside 50 yards last year, but his lack of 50-plus yard attempts (1-for-3) significantly impacts his fantasy upside.

Parris Campbell - Just one reception Sunday Campbell started at receiver opposite Michael Pittman with Zach Pascal in the slot in Sunday's loss to Seattle, but had just one reception for 24 yards on three targets.
Impact Campbell played on 46 of the offense's 76 snaps compared to 74 snaps for Pittman and 69 snaps for Pascal. Campbell should have a steady role in the passing game while T.Y. Hilton is out with a neck injury, but he may not get many targets if the Indy offensive line continues to struggle in pass protection, and if the Colts continue to spread the ball around (eight players had two or more targets).

Michael Pittman Jr. - Just three receptions Sunday Pittman had three receptions on four targets for 29 yards in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Impact Pittman played on 74 of the offense's 76 snaps as he took over the No. 1 receiver role with T.Y. Hilton out after neck surgery. However, he was just fourth on the team in targets as Indy's offensive line struggled to give Carson Wentz enough time to throw a deep ball. Wentz sustained 10 quarterback hits in the game. Because Indy's O-line is viewed as as strong unit, Pittman should improve if the unit bounces back and Wentz has more time to throw.

Marlon Mack - Doesn't play in season opener Mack was active but did not play in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
Impact Mack returned from a season-ending Achilles tendon tear suffered in Week 1 of last year, but he's clearly behind Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines on the depth chart. Still, it's somewhat surprising Mack didn't get any action in the game because he's said to be back to full strength. It likely will take an injury to Taylor or Hines for Mack to have a significant role.
