Darien Butler - Reverts to IR Butler (undisclosed) reverted to the Raiders' injured list Wednesday after clearing waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Butler was waived by the Raiders on Monday after failing his physical. He spent all of 2023 on injured reserve with an unspecified injury, and he will do so again in 2024 unless he is let go with an injury settlement. Butler played in 15 regular-season games with the Raiders in 2022, recording 11 tackles (three solo) while playing 269 snaps on special teams.

Raiders boast two standout TEs, look for one solid QB to emerge
Zamir White - Locked into lead role White is entrenched as the Raiders' top running back, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Impact He won't necessarily keep the role long if he struggles come September, but every indication out of Las Vegas this spring and summer has been that White will enter Week 1 as the team's lead runner. It helps that the Raiders don't have much behind him, with the most noteworthy alternatives being Vikings castoff Alexander Mattison, 2024 sixth-round pick Dylan Laube and third-down specialist Ameer Abdullah. Laube apparently has been mixing in with the first-team offense during camp, but only in clear passing situations. White started the final four games of last season, averaging 21.0 carries for 99.3 yards and 0.25 TDs plus 2.3 catches for 5.0 yards on 3.3 targets.

Aidan O'Connell - Splitting reps with Minshew O'Connell and Gardner Minshew have been trading off first-team reps in training camp, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site and Tashan Reed of The Athletic report.
Impact The fact that the two QBs have essentially been alternating first-team snaps on a practice-by-practice basis as the coaching staff gives both players a long look, though the starting experience O'Connell gained under Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce last season may give him a slight edge out of the gate. That said, if neither signal-caller pulls away during training camp and the preseason, it could be a while until a decision on the team's Week 1 starter is publicly revealed.

Terrell Bynum - Inks deal with Las Vegas The Raiders signed Bynum on Monday.
Impact The Cowboys actually worked out Bynum just two days prior, but it appears the USC product went in a different direction and signed with the Raiders. Bynum, an undrafted second-year wide receiver, appeared in one game with the Chargers last season, failing to record a stat. He'll likely be competing for a depth spot in Las Vegas' wide receiver room as the training camp progresses.

Dylan Laube - Looks sharp early on Laube has been making a case to earn some playing time early on this coming season, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
Impact With that possibility in mind, offensive coordinator Luke Getsy relayed that the rookie sixth-rounder out of New Hampshire is "off to a great start," while head coach Antonio Pierce noted of Laube on Friday, "that dude is special. I like him...and he's gritty. he's a gritty RB. One thing - he surprises you with his speed." That said, Tafur acknowledges that at this stage Laube slots in behind fellow backs Zamir White, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah. However, if Laube continue to impress this summer, the 5-foot-10, 208-pounder may be able to carve out a third-down role and possibly contribute as a kick returner in 2024.

Gardner Minshew II - Rotating with O'Connell Minshew and Aidan O'Connell have rotated first-team reps through the first week of training camp, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Impact There haven't been many hints about the favorite to start Week 1, with Las Vegas beat reporters mostly noting that the defense is getting the better of the offense regardless of which QB is taking snaps. O'Connell was first through the rotation at the start of the offseason program and again on the opening day of training camp, but it sounds like the split has been around 50/50 overall. Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy didn't provide any hints when he talked to reporters Monday, merely saying that he's been pleased with both quarterbacks so far, per Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site.

Impact After being waived by Las Vegas with an injury designation Wednesday, Johanning cleared waivers and subsequently reverted to IR. He'll miss the 2024 campaign unless he and the Raiders agree to an injury settlement.

Impact Miller has been working off to the side with the Raiders' training staff at the start of camp.
