Mohamed Ibrahim - Stays in NFC North Ibrahim signed a contract with the Vikings on Thursday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Impact Ibrahim ended last season on the Lions' practice squad injured list after suffering a hip dislocation on a kickoff return in Week 7 against Baltimore. He received full medical clearance Aug. 13, and while he's unlikely to make Minnesota's 53-man roster, he can make a case for himself to stick around on the team's practice squad.

Sam Darnold - Won't start Saturday Coach Kevin O'Connell relayed Thursday that that Darnold's teammate, Jaren Hall will start Saturday's preseason finale against the Eagles.
Impact O'Connell added that Matt Corral is likely to see snaps after Hall on Saturday, with Darnold's next start thus slated to occur in Week 1 against the Giants. The veteran QB is slated to open the regular season as Minnesota's top signal caller, with first-round rookie J.J. McCarthy having landed on IR last week due to a knee injury.

Jaren Hall - Getting Saturday start Coach Kevin O'Connell noted Thursday that Hall will start Saturday's preseason finale against the Eagles.
Impact Without naming specific players, O'Connell implied that a number of regulars are in line to be rested Saturday, while adding that Matt Corral is likely to see snaps after Hall. With that in mind, we wouldn't expect to see starter Sam Darnold face Philadelphia.

Jordan Addison - Did not practice Tuesday Addison (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Addison was carted off the field during an Aug. 14 practice with an ankle injury. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said the next day that Addison did not suffer a major injury and isn't expected to miss extended time. However, there's no clear timetable for his return. It seems unlikely he'll play in any more preseason games.

Robert Tonyan - Limited in practice Tuesday Tonyan (back) participated in positional drills during Tuesday's practice, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Tonyan hadn't practiced since July 31 due to back spasms, so it's encouraging to see him back on the field in some capacity. With T.J. Hockenson (knee) expected to miss time early in the regular season while working his way back from an ACL tear, Tonyan could offer some fantasy value in deeper formats if he's able to get healthy and suit up against the Giants in Week 1.

Impact Griffin hadn't practiced since late July due to the issue, so expect him to be eased back into action. He's unlikely to play in any preseason games but looks on track to play Week 1 of the regular season. He's expected to start opposite Stephon Gilmore with Byron Murphy Jr. playing in the slot.

James Lynch - Clear of knee injury Lynch (knee) started and logged 27 defensive snaps, along with one snap on special teams, during Minnesota's preseason win over Cleveland on Saturday.
Impact Lynch finished with three assisted tackles in the exhibition contest. He had registered 18 defensive snaps and five special-teams snaps during the Vikings' preseason opener against Las Vegas on Aug. 10. Lynch appears to be past the ACL tear that cost him all of last season, and he is battling for a depth spot on the 53-man roster as a backup defensive lineman.

Impact Tonyan had a shot to be a sleeper in the offense with T.J. Hockenson likely to miss games as he works his way back from an ACL injury. However, he's going to have a hard time making the roster with the injury and could end up being released or placed on injured reserve.

Impact Nailor started at outside receiver and played just 19 snaps as the Vikings rested most of their starting offense. He built upon an impressive first preseason game and has a strong hold on the No. 3 receiver job at this point in the preseason over Brandon Powell. The No. 3 receiver role could have significant fantasy value with tight end T.J. Hockenson set to miss several games coming back from a torn ACL and Jordan Addison facing a potential suspension for a DUI charge.
