Impact Williams continued to serve a significant role for the Jets defense, remaining on the field for 91 percent of snaps. He has now racked up at least seven stops in each of his last four games, including two double-digit tackle efforts. Williams has 83 total tackles on the season, good for second on the team behind only C.J. Mosley.

Impact Hardee was one of 25 players to test positive for COVID on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. He's only played one defensive snap this season, so any absence will only impact the Jets' special-teams unit.

Impact After suffering the quad injury in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Eagles, Moore didn't practice at all last week before New York moved him to IR on Saturday. Given the Jets' status as non-playoff contenders along with the rookie second-round pick's long-term importance to the organization, Moore looked as though he might be a shutdown candidate, but Saleh suggested that's not the case. Instead, Moore's move to IR appears to have been made with short-term roster flexibility in mind. The Jets are hopeful that three weeks of rest will be enough to resolve the quad injury, so if Moore is ready to return to practice when first eligible Week 17, he could recapture a high-volume role in the passing attack during the team's final two contests.

Michael Carter - Likely to return Week 15 Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he expects Carter (ankle) to return from injured reserve for Sunday's game in Miami, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact The rookie running back has been sidelined for New York's last three games with a low-grade ankle sprain, but he looks like he'll be in store for a minimum-length stay on IR. Before the Jets add him back to the roster, the team will presumably see how he checks out in their first Week 15 practice Wednesday, when he'll likely be designated for return from IR. If he demonstrates enough progress to get the green light for Sunday, Carter could immediately supplant Tevin Coleman (concussion) and Ty Johnson as the lead option out of the backfield. After seeing the field for no more than 46 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps through the first three weeks of the season, Carter handled at least half of the snaps in six straight games prior to exiting early with the injury Week 11. During that six-game stretch, Carter averaged 89.3 yards from scrimmage and 0.67 touchdowns on 13 carries and 4.3 receptions per contest.

Quinnen Williams - Expects to play through injury Williams had an MRI on his shoulder Monday, and he expects to be able to play through the injury, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.
Impact Williams suffered the injury while making a tackle early in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Saints. The third-year pro was able to return to the contest sporting a shoulder harness and finished with three tackles across 34 defensive snaps. If Williams is going to play through the injury, then he will likely have to continuing wearing the harness, but the good news is that it didn't appear to negatively impact his performance.
