Grant Calcaterra - Solid yardage in big win Calcaterra brought in all three targets for 58 yards in the Eagles' 37-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Impact With Dallas Goedert (hamstring) sidelined for the second straight game, Calcaterra drew another start and parlayed it into a productive afternoon. Calcaterra's numbers were somewhat surprising considering he'd drawn just one target from Jalen Hurts against the Giants in Week 7, but it wasn't completely unforeseen since he'd contributed a 4-67 line in Week 6 against the Browns. Calcaterra could be in a favorable position for a successful encore in a Week 9 home matchup against the vulnerable Jaguars defense if Goedert remains sidelined.

Impact In the wake of a one-catch Week 7 in which he netted minus-2 receiving yards, Smith obviously had nowhere to go but up Sunday and made good use of his opportunities. The fourth-year speedster finished as the team leader in receptions, receiving yards and targets, with a picturesque over-the-shoulder 45-yard touchdown grab late in the third quarter largely responsible for his successful afternoon. Smith's receiving yardage total was also a season high, and he's now been over 75 receiving yards in four of six games heading into a favorable Week 9 home matchup against a beatable Jaguars secondary.

Saquon Barkley - Eclipses century mark in win Barkley rushed 22 times for 108 yards and brought in his only target for three yards in the Eagles' 37-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Impact Jalen Hurts vultured a pair of one-yard rushing touchdown opportunities and also scored on the ground from seven yards out, leaving Barkley out in the cold as far as the end zone was concerned. However, the star running back still managed his second straight 100-yard effort and fourth overall of the season while equaling his second-highest carry total of the campaign. Barkley continues to look like a seamless fit in the Eagles' offensive attack heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Jaguars.

Impact For the second consecutive week, the Eagles continued to look like the team many expected them to be entering the season, and Hurts was at the center of the resurgence. The talented signal-caller was in vintage form on the ground, where he scored from one, seven and one yard out in the second, third and fourth quarters, respectively. Hurts didn't have to do too much through the air, finishing with well under 30 pass attempts for the third consecutive game. Hurts also extended his streak with at least one touchdown pass to four games via his pretty 45-yard strike to DeVonta Smith late in the third quarter, and the fifth-year quarterback's arrow is undeniably pointing up heading into a Week 9 home date with the vulnerable Jaguars defense.

Impact Okwuegbunam has been on IR all season while recovering from the core-muscle surgery he underwent in August, but he looks to be back to 100 percent after turning in a trio of full practices in both of the past two weeks. He didn't carry a designation into Sunday's contest, but the Eagles won't look to open up a spot on the 53-man roster for him just yet, even with top tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) set to miss a second straight game. Okwuegbunam's 21-day evaluation window will come to a close Nov. 6, so the Eagles will have to activate him by then, or else he won't be eligible to play this season.

He will be forced to miss at least the next four regular-season games, making Week 12 against the Rams on Sunday, Nov. 24 the earliest he can return. The 2023 third-round pick was claimed off waivers by Eagles in late August but has yet to appear in a regular-season game.

Impact Becton suffered a concussion during the Eagles' Week 7 win over the Giants.
