Dallas Goedert - Ruled out for Week 8 Goedert (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest at Cincinnati.

Impact Goedert thus will miss a second game in a row due to the strained hamstring that he suffered back in Week 6 against the Browns. Considering he hasn't practiced in the meantime, he likely will need to do so in some capacity in order to have a chance to return to action Week 9 versus the Jaguars. Grant Calcaterra will assume most of the TE reps in Goedert's stead this weekend.

Impact Baun injured his shoulder during Sunday's game against the Giants, which kept him out of Wednesday's practice. Barring any setbacks, the 2020 third-round pick should be good to go against the Bengals on Sunday. Baun leads the Eagles with 57 combines tackles through the first six games of the regular season.

Impact Goedert hasn't been able to practice in any fashion since straining his hamstring early in the Eagles' Week 6 win over the Browns. He'll almost certainly need to get back on the field in some capacity Friday to have a chance at avoiding a second consecutive missed game this Sunday against the Bengals. In Goedert's absence during this past Sunday's win over the Giants, Grant Calcaterra served as the Eagles' top tight end and played 71 percent of the snaps, but he finished with just one catch for five yards on one target.

Impact Calcaterra saw plenty of playing time in the absence of Dallas Goedert (hamstring), but the Eagles didn't make him a significant part of the gameplan. That wasn't necessarily his fault, as the team's rushing attack was so successful that they only attempted 15 passes in total, leaving very few targets to go around. Calcaterra could be the top tight end again next week if Goedert remains out, but he's never had more than four catches in a game (and has only once had more than two) despite filling in for Goedert on multiple occasions in recent years.

Expect Carter to continue serving as the Eagles' top interior defensive lineman as the team travels to Cincinnati in Week 8.
