Struggles in losing effort Darnold completed 17 of 41 pass attempts for 207 yards, a touchdown and an interception while adding 48 yards on four rush attempts in Sunday's 34-28 loss to the Vikings.
Impact Darnold struggled with his accuracy throughout the entire contest, so it was a surprise the Panthers were able to send this game into overtime given how poor his stat line looked. The opposing quarterback, Kirk Cousins, turned in one of his best performances this season, so Darnold's struggles can't even be attributed to harsh weather conditions. The 2018 first-round pick has hit a rough two-game patch -- during which has completed only 49 percent of his pass attempts -- after it looked like he turned his career around over the first four contests. Perhaps a favorable matchup against the Giants next Sunday can get his comeback tour back on track.

Throws three INTs in loss Darnold completed 21 of 37 passes for 177 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Eagles.
Impact Darnold's worst performance as a Panther saw him throw a trio of bad interceptions. His first two were picked off by Darius Slay while targeting DJ Moore, then Darnold put it behind Robby Anderson for his back-breaking final interception as Carolina was attempting to comeback late in the fourth quarter. Although he did manage a five-yard touchdown to Tommy Tremble in the first half, Sunday still marked an awful outing for Darnold, who had completed at least 65 percent and averaged at least 7.5 yards on his attempts in four games prior. The signal-caller will hope to return to that good form while eliminating his recent turnovers in Week 6's matchup against the Vikings, when the potential return of superstar weapon Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) could offer him a needed boost.
