Impact To begin the year Jefferson operated as the Rams' by-default deep threat while Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods worked more underneath, but in light of Woods' season-ending injury and the addition of the more big-play oriented Odell Beckham it makes sense for the Rams to give Jefferson the old Woods role while Beckham takes up more of the downfield responsibilities. If that continues going forward then it could allow Jefferson to draw targets and thus receptions more reliably than he did to begin the year, even if he's generally regarded as the WR3 behind Kupp and Beckham.

Impact Jefferson recorded a season high in targets, though he was inefficient for the majority of the game. The primary exception came early in the second quarter when he beat one-on-one coverage deep down the middle of the field for a 79-yard touchdown reception. Jefferson should continue to serve as a deep threat for the Rams heading into a Week 13 matchup against Jacksonville, as he now has at least one reception of 20 yards or more in five consecutive contests.

Drops touchdown in loss Jefferson caught three of seven targets for 54 yards in Monday night's 31-10 loss to the 49ers.

Impact Jefferson was forced into a more important role with teammate Robert Woods (knee) going down late in the week, and although he produced Los Angeles' longest play of the night with a 33-yard gain, he also dropped a would-be touchdown in the second half. Overall, Jefferson's output wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and despite his potential to help fill the void left by Woods' season-ending injury, the Rams now enter their bye week, giving recent signing Odell Beckham ample time to increase his involvement in advance of Week 12's matchup versus the Packers. Once Beckham is fully acclimated, it'll be interesting to see whether he or Jefferson is targeted more often behind Matthew Stafford's clear No. 1 option Cooper Kupp.
