Alexander Romanov - Not playing Tuesday Romanov won't play Tuesday versus Pittsburgh, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Impact Romanov remains day-to-day and will miss his second straight game. He has provided two assists, 10 shots on goal, 21 blocked shots and 16 hits across eight appearances this season. Following his recall from AHL Bridgeport on Tuesday, Isaiah George will make his NHL debut versus the Penguins because of injuries to blueliners Romanov, Adam Pelech (jaw) and Mike Reilly (upper body).

Samuel Bolduc - Returned to minors Bolduc was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Monday.

Impact Bolduc's demotion would seem to indicate that Alexander Romanov (upper body) is healthy enough to play in Tuesday's clash with Pittsburgh. In his lone appearance this season, Bolduc logged a meager 5:56 of ice time and registered a minus-1 rating. Look for Bolduc to spend the bulk of his time in the minors this year.

Mike Reilly - Still deemed day-to-day Reilly (upper body) remains day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's game against the Penguins, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Impact Reilly continues to deal with an upper-body injury that forced him to miss Sunday's game against the Rangers, and it's unclear whether he'll be available Tuesday. If he's forced to sit out again, Grant Hutton and Samuel Bolduc are candidates to see playing time for the Islanders.

Ilya Sorokin - In goal against Pens Sorokin will get the starting nod at home versus Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Impact Sorokin has struggled in his last four appearances, posting a 3.00 GAA and .908 save percentage while going 2-2-0 in his last four outings. With the 29-year-old backstop getting the nod Tuesday, it will be the first time this season that he starts in three consecutive games. Still, Semyon Varlamov should still see plenty of opportunities the rest of the way, even if the bulk of the workload goes to Sorokin.
