Impact Hakanpaa underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in the spring but joined the Maple Leafs on a one-year deal in September. However, he'll have to wait to make his team debut while he continues his recovery process. The 32-year-old has recently practiced in a no-contact jersey, but it's not yet clear when Toronto expects him to return to game action.

Calle Jarnkrok - Lands on LTIR Jarnkrok (lower body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Monday.
Impact Jarnkrok dealt with a lower-body injury over the final few weeks of training camp, and the issue will force him to miss several weeks to begin the regular season. He was in and out of the lineup during the preseason, but his time on long-term injured reserve should allow him to fully recover before making his season debut. Once he's healthy, the 33-year-old will likely fill a top-six role for Toronto.

Fraser Minten - Lands on injured reserve Minten (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Impact Minten sustained a high-ankle sprain during a prospects game in mid-September, and he'll miss time to begin the regular season. It's not yet clear whether he'll join the Maple Leafs once he's healthy, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend time in the minors once he's able to return. The 20-year-old logged 48 points in 43 WHL appearances last season.

Impact Dewar underwent offseason shoulder surgery and was initially expected to be ready for the start of training camp. While he hasn't suffered any setbacks, the Maple Leafs ruled him out indefinitely in mid-September, and he was expected to start the regular season on injured reserve. However, Dewar skated with his teammates Wednesday, and it's encouraging that he wasn't placed on LTIR. Max Pacioretty - Signs one-year contract Pacioretty signed a one-year, $873,770 contract with Toronto on Monday.
Impact Pacioretty attended training camp with the Maple Leafs on a professional tryout, but it was expected from the beginning that he would sign a standard contract with the team. The 35-year-old forward registered four goals, 19 assists, 95 shots on net and 76 hits in 47 regular-season contests with Washington in 2023-24. If he can stay healthy, an issue that has plagued him over the last four campaigns, Pacioretty could be a productive member of Toronto's middle-six group in 2024-25. He should also see time on the power play.

Cade Webber - Inks two-year contract extension Webber signed a two-year, $1.65 million contract extension with the Maple Leafs on Monday.
Impact Webber signed a two-year, entry-level contract with Toronto in April, and he'll earn a two-year extension ahead of the regular season. His deal will be a two-way contract during the 2025-26 campaign before converting to a one-way deal for the 2026-27 season. It seems unlikely that the 23-year-old will see much, if any, time in the NHL this year.

Steven Lorentz - Earns one-year contract Lorentz signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Maple Leafs on Monday.
Impact Lorentz spent the last month with the Maple Leafs on a PTO, and even though he missed a few days during camp due to an upper-body injury, he's earned a regular contract with the team ahead of the regular season. The 28-year-old made 38 regular-season appearances for the Panthers last year and tallied a goal, three points and 70 hits while averaging 8:47 of ice time.
