Impact Alvarez had an interesting season, to say the least, as he began the season in a starting role due to injuries from Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, playing multiple roles throughout the attack and being a great source of production after having seven goal contributions through 10 games. However, despite his early success, he was limited in the second half of the season, seeing much less time and serving in more of a rotational role, although he only missed two games all season. The big question moving into the next campaign will be what role the forward holds, as City is already loaded up top but he has enough prowess to possibly slide into the starting XI as an attacking midfielder, with Haaland having a firm hold of the starting striker spot.
