Impact Alvarez had a decent outing in 57 minutes of play, registering one tackle, three crosses and four shots in the win. This was the first time he hasn't bagged a goal contribution in three matches. It was easily the Argentine's least productive game of the season after getting off to a flying start in the first couple of matches, already notching five goal contributions in the Premier League this campaign. He is yet to miss a start in all competitions this season and should remain a starter especially with Kevin De Bruyne out injured until December and multiple other teammates out with small knocks.

He may have been very lucky with his second goal, but ultimately, he earned it after firing eight shots (five on goal) in the win. He also was productive outside of his goals, notching seven chances created and seven crosses. The Argentinian has started to come on since being moved to attacking midfielder and looks to be one of Manchester City's most important playmakers for this Champions League campaign.

However, the second assist of the match was exceptional, featuring a chipped through ball inside the box to Bernardo Silva, who subsequently beat the goalkeeper. The attacking midfielder nearly scored his third goal of the season with a free-kick attempt in the 53rd minute that hit the post. Additionally, he delivered nine crosses and created four chances.
