Impact Ruidiaz is back on the bench for Saturday's match after training fully earlier in the week. The forward is available and could slot in ahead of Heber when fully fit. In the meantime it's one more start for Heber while Ruidiaz continues to recover full fitness.

Raul Ruidiaz - Training fully Ruidiaz (hamstring) was a full participant in training Thursday, Jeremiah Oshan reports. He is listed as questionable in Seattle's injury report for Saturday's clash against RSL.

Impact Ruidiaz trained individually earlier in the week and was able to join team training Thursday. Heber could continue as the starting striker for now but Ruidiaz should take over the position once he's back up to full fitness.

Obed Vargas - Trending towards return Vargas (back) is available for Saturday's clash with Salt Lake, manager Brian Schmetzer told reporters.

Impact Vargas is expected to return for Saturday's match against Salt Lake. The midfielder missed the opener due to a back injury but is now nearing a return to the first team. Vargas made 13 appearances (10 starts) for Seattle in 2022, though the return of Joao Paulo from a torn ACL means Vargas will likely remain a backup in the Sounders' midfield for now.
