Impact While the offensive performance wasn't much to write home about, the fact that Miller drew the start over incumbent Anthony Walker -- who started 16 of 26 contests last season -- is what's notable here. Miller primarily spent his time at the four last season with George Mason, where he posted a career-high 15.8 ppg to go along with 6.1 rpg. He shouldn't be expected to duplicate those marks with a move to the tougher ACC, but it appears the 6-7 forward will still have a meaningful role in Coral Gables. He ended the night with the team's highest plus/minus rating (+26), while Walker had just two points in 10 minutes of action.

Impact The caliber of competition surely has to be taken into account here, but Wong still put on a show for the home crowd at the Watsco Center. Named to the ACC preseason first-team Tuesday morning, Wong will look to follow up a season in which he led the Canes with 17.1 ppg. He decided to return to the program despite getting his NBA Draft stock tested, and even with the addition of DePaul guard Charlie Moore, Wong should still be the offensive focal point in 2021-22.
