Max Brown - Week-to-week after Saturday Brown (undisclosed) will be week-to-week after UNC Charlotte's game Saturday against Gardner-Webb, Bobby Rosinski of 730 The Game reports.

Impact UNC Charlotte's head coach Biff Poggi had already said that Brown would sit out Saturday. But beginning from Sunday, his availability status will be questionable for future games until he is healthy. After hosting Gardner-Webb, the 49ers are expected to have their subsequent matchup at Indiana on Sept. 21.

Based on reports, it looks like the redshirt sophomore quarterback could miss some time, although, more reports during the week should provide more clarity on his status. In his absence, Trexler Ivey is expected to start under center.

Impact Weber tied Sean Brown for the team-lead with six receptions Saturday and ranked second on the team with eight targets. It was a solid start to the season for the tight end who showed flashes of production last season despite failing to find the endzone. He and Max Brown clearly have found a connection, so Weber could be in for an improved 2024 campaign.

Impact Myers scored the 49ers only touchdown Saturday, a 26-yard reception from Max Brown in the second quarter. He caught one other pass in his first career FBS contest. While Sean Brown was clearly Max Brown's favorite target in the season opener, Brown looked to Myers five times and Myers proved he could be a weapon with his six-foot-five-inch frame.

Impact Brown led his team in receptions, targets and yards Saturday, a nice start to the season for him despite the blowout loss. He clearly found a connection with new quarterback Max Brown during the offseason and that paid off on Saturday. Although this 49ers' offense is not expected to be particularly productive in the passing game, Brown may have established himself as the No. 1 option.

Impact Norton rushed for just 1.1 yards per carry Saturday, a brutal way to start his 49ers career after transferring from Iowa State. It was especially rough for him given Terron Kellman (nine carries for 76 yards) and Hahsaun Wilson (five carries for 35 yards) looked much better. Even though he started in Saturday's loss, he may have lost out on that job after a rough season opener.
