Impact Casali had been out of the lineup in six of the eight games prior to Monday and played a full game in only one of the two contests he had started in that sample. However, he put in a full nine behind the dish Monday with Cal Raleigh (thumb) sidelined and was reasonably productive by displaying a discerning eye at the plate. Casali has a couple of serviceable offensive seasons on his resume from his days with the Reds, but he's limped to a .111 average and .421 OPS over the 33 plate appearances he's logged across 10 games with the Mariners thus far.

Mitch Haniger - Crosses plate twice Monday Haniger went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs in a win over the Angels on Monday.
Impact Haniger had just returned to the lineup Sunday after missing four games with lower-back tightness but had gone 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Monday's outing was therefore a lot more productive, and it snapped an 0-for-20 slump for Haniger that dated back to Sept. 7. The fact the veteran outfielder was able to play a full game in the outfield for the second consecutive day also seems to indicate his previously ailing back is back to full health.

J.P. Crawford - Laces third triple Monday Crawford went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and two runs in a win over the Angels on Monday.
Impact Crawford belted his third triple of the season in the third inning -- ironically the only time he reached base that he didn't come around to score. The veteran shortstop has been getting particularly good wood on the ball of late, as he's now sporting a .290 average and .984 OPS over the last 10 games thanks in part to the fact he's laced five of his nine hits during that span for extra bases.

With that, the 28-year-old infielder has reached the 20-homer mark for the first time in his MLB career. He improved his slash line to .272/.336/.442 with 44 extra-base hits and 77 RBI through 126 games. However, France is hitting just .203 (13-for-64) since the start of September.
