Top-5 Finish at COTA Bowman finished fourth in the Echopark Texas Grand Prix NASCAR Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas Sunday afternoon.

Impact Bowman continued his good record at Circuit of the Americas. The driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet started mid-pack after a disappointing qualifying effort. Still, Bowman would patiently race his way through the field to break into the Top 10 by stage 3. The long green-flag run to the finish would see the Top 3 take off and leave the field with a big gap to Bowman. He would hold Tyler Reddick at bay to claim the strong fourth-place finish. It was Bowman's third Top-5 finish of the season.

Bristol Top-5 Finish Bowman finished fourth in the Food City 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact The Hendrick Motorsports veteran snapped a three-race Top-10 drought with his good performance Sunday on the half-mile Bristol oval. Bowman started deep in the field at 29th-place on the grid after a troubled qualifying run. He would slowly and methodically work his way through the field during this 500-lap battle. By stage 3 he'd have a presence among the leaders and would chase Brad Keselowski for third-place in the closing laps. Bowman would fall short in that effort but still collect his second Top 5 of the season.

Impact The driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet reversed some of his recent superspeedway bad luck and stuck with it the full 500-miles at Daytona Monday evening. Bowman would never lead a single lap, but he'd be a big pusher and momentum starter in the closing laps. He'd push teammate, William Byron, to the lead and after a final caution in the closing laps would ride his bumper to a runner-up finish. It was just his second-career Top 5 at Daytona and best-ever finish in the Daytona 500.

Impact The Hendrick Motorsports veteran started ninth on the grid and would stay among the Top 10 most of the way. Bowman didn't have the speed to get to the lead, but he'd stalk the leaders in the closing laps. A shakeup at the front on the last lap would give him an opportunity and Bowman would seize it. The driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet would promote to third-place for a solid finish in this Daytona qualifying race.
