Top-5 Finish in California Suarez finished fourth in the Pala Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact It was quite a big day for the two cars of Trackhouse Racing Sunday at Fontana. In addition to Ross Chastain's dominant performance, Suarez would turn in an impressive one as well. He'd start among the Top 10 and race there all afternoon, collecting third- and fifth-place finishes in the first two stages. Suarez couldn't muscle his way into the lead, but he'd race among the leaders the full 400-miles. In the closing laps he'd get around and stay in front of Kevin Harvick to earn a strong fourth-place finish. Suarez moves into fifth-place in the driver standings after his first Top-5 finish of the season.

Top-10 Daytona 500 Finish Suarez raced to a seventh-place finish in the season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway Sunday, Trackhouse Racing reports.

Impact Suarez would overcome receiving some damage in the lap 119 multi-car crash and rally back to the front. The veteran driver would lead 3 laps before the second major crash of the evening would bring out the caution flag yet again. Suarez would do a good job hanging onto good track position in the closing laps and would survive the night's final crash/caution to collect an impressive seventh-place finish. It was his first-career Top-10 finish at Daytona in 12 starts.

Signs Extension with Trackhouse Trackhouse Racing announced Suarez has signed a multiyear extension that will keep the 31-year-old Monterrey, Mexico native behind the wheel at the Justin Marks-owned team.

Impact Suarez had a strong campaign of one win and 13 Top-10 finishes in 2022, so the contract extension comes as no surprise. The team has signed him to a multi-year deal. The exact details remain undisclosed at this point. "Trackhouse is my home and I am very happy with this announcement," said Suarez. "We are building something special on the No. 99 team and at Trackhouse Racing. We can't wait to get the season started Sunday."
